Our Story
We are a group of engineering students at University of Colorado - Boulder enrolled in GEEN 2400, Engineering Projects for the Community
Our Vision
Our workspace stand enables students to display their work legibly to the teacher
Technology
The design is primarily mechanical, our critical components require careful sourcing and machining
How it works

EZ
The EZshow was made for high school students with a wide range of physical and cognitive disabilities. Our product must cater to the abilities of our users. Our design only requires the student to lift the workspace to present their work. Then only the teacher flips the screen to orient the work properly. Our product is definitely EZ to use!
Safe
The EZshow fulfills our most important criteria, safety for the user. Concerns arose as the workspace of our prototype returned to the base position quickly. The slow close hinge implemented in our final design ensures. The slow close hinge averages a seven second close time. The EZshow will not slam any fingers!

Durable
The EZshow can endure the rough and tumble that raucous students may exert on the product. The EZshow is composed of MDF material. The MDF provides reliable sturdiness and longevity. Nuts and bolts also fasten tightly the parts together. The fasteners chosen won't let the parts budge!
Replicable
The EZshow can be replicated to produce a class set for our client. Our team made a short and comprehensive instructional video that serves as a visual tutorial to anyone wishing to make their very own EZshow. An instruction manual compliments the video, providing further detail. The shop class at Broomfield plans to use these materials to replicate the product. Students at Broomfield high school now have a well-organized STEM project going forward. Outside the halls of Broomfield high the EZshow can also be manufactured. Anyone with access to simple machining equipment and required materials can manufacture an EZshow themselves!
